A farm based around heritage

Carn Edward mountain majestically surrounds the holdings of Llannerch. The venture is managed and farmed by brothers Robert and Richard, who have been taught and continue to receive guidance from parents Dilwyn and Suzanne Vaughan.

Their grandparents lived and worked on Llannerch Farm and it is now a vibrant livestock hill farm. Dilwyn then transformed the neighbouring, and previously neglected Penlan Uchaf. Robert and Richard completed college and with 500 years of family history behind them, Carn Edward farms was born.

Farming Carn Edward Today

The farm runs as a typical livestock hill farm, with 750 pedigree Lleyn breeding ewes and 200 pedigree Longhorn cattle. All animals are pasture grazed and when winter arrives are housed and fed on grass silage round bales made in early summer. We switched to longhorn cattle in 2001 due to the breed being ideally suited to the extreme weather conditions that our Pembrokeshire farm often faces throughout the year.

As well as providing the views and produce at our farm, we visit local farmers markets in the area, food festivals and continue to grow our meat sales through online means. For Welsh meat online, we are a quality supplier.
